The First Assignment


    Hi I'm Michael I'm 18 and I like Soccer (My favorite team is Arsenal). My favorite animal is a platypus, I feel like I can relate to it on a spiritual level. I'm originally from Jersey and I lived there for like 15 years. Then i moved to NYC for high school. Before than it was like a 2 hour trip to school.  During my first day my dad to school with me because I never been to the city before. He told me while getting on the subway that "it's fine" and that "It was not scary". As soon we got onto the train a guy started threatening people with a knife and the police tackled him onto the floor and we made eye contact. Other then that the subway is fine. My biggest fail is probably that I didn't know how to do my times table until I was 13. I know my times tables now (Don't test me). My greatest achievement is winning districts with my volleyball team. we ended up going to states and lost in the first round. It wasn't my fault I swear (I missed like 8 easy spikes).

    My feelings about this class are a bit mixed. I think that this class can be very very very very very fun. At the same time my computer is a piece of dookie, so I'll probably walk here to do anything. On second thought that isn't such a bad thing because I get to walk through the beautiful park. On the other hand I have a fear of ducks and nearly dookied myself while walking to class seeing all the ducks. That was a lie. I'm not afraid of ducks, I FOOLED YOU. Now back to the assignment at hand. Overall I hope to be challenged in this class, even if I say otherwise after this post, and I hope to learn a lot about the different programs.

Platon Discussion

This is a photo taken by a photographer named Platon. I watched the documentary and found some of his pictures very moving. He had many that were interesting, but I like the work he did with this picture in particular in photoshop. The person in the photo is Samuel. L Jackson. He is a personal hero to me because of the way he expresses himself and the way he speaks about certain political issues. I think that this photo hits home to me the most because of how much I like Samuel L Jackson.  I think the way that Planton used the glow effect to really make Samuel L Jackson standout is really cool. Also, him covering his mouth with his cloak makes it look like we're seeing him but not the full him and I think thins rings home to famous people in general.
